The TCCA at a glance
Travis Country is governed by the Travis Country Community Service Association (TCCA), a functioning homeowners association that manages the community's shared assets and coordinates resident engagement. Professional management is handled by Goodwin & Company.
The TCCA operates via TownSq, the community's official digital platform where residents handle payments, stay informed about events, request services, and engage in community dialogue. Board meetings occur the third Thursday of each month (no December meeting) at 6 p.m. via Zoom, with agendas posted in advance.
For specific dues amounts, membership structure, or assessment details, contact the community manager directly at tcmanager@traviscountry.com or 512-289-1616.
The community pools
Travis Country operates two distinct pool facilities tied to its main amenity centers. The Hilltop pool complex features a lap pool and a separate baby pool, with a layout designed for families. The Blue Valley location offers additional aquatic recreation. Both pools serve as gathering points during warm months. Confirm specific hours, membership eligibility, and seasonal schedules directly with the TCCA.
Tennis and sport courts
The Hilltop Amenity Area includes two tennis courts and a basketball court. Blue Valley adds six more tennis courts, giving Travis Country a total of eight tennis courts. That's a significant recreational asset for a neighborhood of this size, with both lit and unlit options for recreational play and skill development.
Trails, greenbelts, and access to nature
The defining feature of Travis Country's outdoor landscape is its integration with natural green space. The neighborhood sits at the edge of the Barton Creek Greenbelt, with immediate access to hiking and biking trails without leaving the area.
Within the community, the Sycamore Creek Nature Trail is a 1.5-mile path connecting the Hilltop and Blue Valley amenity centers. The path passes through or near the Wildflower Preserve and other natural features that reflect the community's environmental focus. Residents also benefit from access to Blue Valley Pond, a scenic spot for fishing and wildlife watching, plus designated picnic and grilling areas.
Playgrounds and family recreation
Both amenity areas include playgrounds, making them natural destinations for families with young children. Combined with the trails and pools, families rarely need to leave the neighborhood for basic recreation.
Community events and engagement
Travis Country residents stay connected through regular community events and seasonal gatherings. Specific annual events should be confirmed through the TownSq app or the TCCA office, as schedules vary by year. The association coordinates neighborhood clean-ups and social activities that foster connection among residents.
Architectural review and governance
The TCCA's Architectural Control Committee (ACC) reviews modification requests to ensure they align with community guidelines and governing documents. This protects the neighborhood's aesthetic and property values. Board meeting agendas are posted in advance on TownSq, and all residents can review association bylaws, CCRs, and policy resolutions through the portal.
Safety and neighborhood character
Travis Country is recognized by residents and neighbors as a safe, peaceful community. The community participates in neighborhood watch initiatives in partnership with the Austin Police Department. Streetlights, maintained sidewalks, and consistent landscaping contribute to the welcoming character that defines everyday life here.
What to verify when buying
If you're considering a Travis Country home, ask the listing agent or the TCCA directly:
- What is the current monthly HOA assessment, and has it increased recently?
- Are there any special assessments planned or pending?
- What is included (pool maintenance, trail upkeep, landscaping, management)?
- How do residents access the pools? Are there guest privileges?
- What are tennis court reservation procedures and fees?
- What are the current architectural guidelines, and how strictly are they enforced?
- When are board meetings, and can I attend as a prospective buyer?
- Any pending maintenance issues with the pools, courts, or trails?
The TownSq app and the TCCA website are the best sources for accurate, current information.
